Born on 25th of April, 1958, Ashok Ramswaroopji Goyal started off young and in the year 1978, Goyal Group came into existance in Nagpur Maharashtra. The company's core competency is the production of high quality Cast Iron Pipes, for which it employs cutting edge technologies and stringent quality standards. It produces Black and Soil pipes of all dia as per I.S. Standards,  through its state-of-the art pipe plant, located at Nagpur in the state of maharashtra.

Spread in the sprawling 7 acres MIDC Land GDUPL houses the 1200 tonne per month Cold processed Cast Iron Spun Pipe plant, that combines the latest technologies - the gravitation force usage, latest blanket technology  for furnace and the compact fully equipted laboratory containing all the required testing machines.

Goyal Group is the only pipe maker in India after Electrosteel and among a few in the world to have total flexibility in choice of pipe making route, be it the conventional Cold process route or the electric arc furnace route. Its dual technology allows the freedom to choose its raw material feed, be it pig iron, scrap or any combination of various feeds. It also has total flexibility in choosing its energy source, be it electricity, coal or gas.
